Trying a laundromat for the first time — or coming back after years away — can feel a little unfamiliar. Which machine do you use? How long does it take? What do you bring? And is it actually easier than doing laundry at home?
Short answer: Yes. Much easier.
At The Speedy Bubble Laundromat, we’ve designed everything to be fast, simple, and stress‑free. Whether you’re tackling a week’s worth of washing, bulky bedding that won’t fit in your home machine, or just need a reliable place to get it done properly, here’s your no‑nonsense guide to using a modern laundromat.
Why Use a Laundromat in the First Place?

What to Bring
Keep it simple. You don’t need much.
Your laundry (sorted if you prefer)
At The Speedy Bubble we auto dose premium detergent, sanitiser and hypoallergenic softener in our washers so you don't need to bring a thing.
If you have a preference, some machines at our Mango Hill/North Lakes store allow for you to use your own detergent.
VISA or Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay for cashless payment.
Cash accepted during staffed hours.
Check the North Lakes (Mango Hill) or Burpengary East site pages for hours.
A basket or bag for easy carrying
Tip: Many customers bring everything in one trip, start the machines, then relax while it runs.
Step‑by‑Step: How It Works
1. Choose Your Washer Size
Our machines range from everyday loads to extra‑large capacity washers for bulky items. If it would struggle at home, it’ll fit here.
2. Load
Place clothes loosely in the drum. Don’t overpack — water needs room to move.
Our stores have Speed Queen Commercial Washers. Close the door by pushing the door against the drum and pull the handle up. To release, simply push the handle down once your cycle has finished.
3. Pay and Start
Select your wash cycle, tap your card then press start.
That’s it. No complicated setup.
4. Dry Fast
Commercial dryers work far quicker than home dryers. Move your washing across to the same size dryer (Small, Medium or Large), select your time and you’re done in minutes — not hours.
How Long Does It Take?
Speed is where laundromats shine.
Wash cycle: ~20–40 minutes
Dry cycle: ~20–45 minutes depending on load
Most customers finish everything in about an hour.
